2027 GMC Sierra 1500 revealed with new V8 engines, bigger screens and more technology
GMC has revealed the all-new 2027 Sierra 1500, giving GCC customers an early look at the next generation of its full-size pickup ahead of its regional launch in Summer 2027. The latest Sierra brings a redesigned exterior and interior, new V8 engines, upgraded technology and enhanced off-road capability across the lineup.
New V8 engines headline powertrain updates
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of sixth-generation Small Block V8 engines in 5.7-litre and 6.6-litre configurations. Both engines will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.
GMC says the new powertrains have been engineered to deliver improved performance, refinement and durability, while continuing to cater to customers who use their trucks for towing, off-roading and everyday driving.
Bold new styling inside and out
The 2027 Sierra adopts a completely redesigned exterior featuring a more upright grille, revised LED headlights and taillights with available welcome and farewell lighting animations, GMC signature wing-shaped lighting elements, quad exhaust outlets and trim-specific styling details.

Inside, every trim receives an all-new cabin with upgraded materials, exclusive colour themes and several new features. Available equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, a redesigned MultiPro centre console and what GMC claims is best-in-class front headroom and legroom for Crew Cab models.
Larger displays and Super Cruise technology
Technology sees a major upgrade with a new 16.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, claimed to be the largest in its class, alongside a first-ever 11.5-inch passenger display.

Other available features include a 16-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system with front headrest-mounted speakers, expanded camera views, multiple drive modes, Google Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, plus OnStar connected services.
Hands-free Super Cruise driver assistance will also make its Sierra debut in the GCC, initially offered on the Denali and AT4X trims.
AT4 and AT4X become even more capable
The off-road-focused AT4 and AT4X models receive several hardware upgrades aimed at improving performance on challenging terrain.
New features include 35-inch mud-terrain tyres, a factory-installed 2-inch suspension lift, Multimatic jounce control dampers and both front and rear electronic locking differentials. GMC says these additions improve off-road capability while maintaining everyday comfort.
Four trims planned for the GCC
The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 will be offered in the GCC in four trims:
- Elevation
- AT4
- AT4X
- Denali
Each model will feature its own styling, equipment and capability package, targeting buyers looking for everything from premium daily transport to serious off-road performance.
Arriving in Summer 2027
According to GMC, the all-new Sierra 1500 is expected to reach dealerships across the UAE, KSA and rest of the GCC in Summer 2027. More detailed specifications, pricing and market-specific features will be announced closer to launch.
