Lotus Emira 420 Sport launched in the UAE with 416 hp and 300 kph top speed
Lotus has introduced the Lotus Emira 420 Sport in the Middle East, positioning it as the new performance flagship of the Emira range. The new model will be sold in the UAE through AGMC, the official distributor for Lotus Cars in the country.
The Emira 420 Sport is the most powerful and track-focused version of the sports car so far. Lotus also claims its 300 kph top speed makes it the world’s fastest four-cylinder production car.
Lotus Emira 420 Sport engine and performance
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 416 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine sends power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which receives revised calibration for faster gear changes.
The Emira 420 Sport accelerates from 0-100 kph in 3.9 seconds and reaches 200 kph in 12.47 seconds. It completes the standing quarter mile in 11.91 seconds, while acceleration from 80-120 kph takes 2.4 seconds.

Top speed is rated at 300 kph, putting the four-cylinder Emira close to the performance levels traditionally associated with more powerful six- and eight-cylinder sports cars.
Lotus has also introduced the Track Pro application for circuit use. The system provides lap timing, predictive timing, synchronised video recording and telemetry analysis.
Lower and lighter chassis
The Emira 420 Sport sits 5 mm lower than the standard Emira and receives a dedicated sports chassis. Revised suspension geometry is intended to improve turn-in response and body control, while the lower ride height reduces the car’s centre of gravity.

An optional Lotus Lightweight Handling Pack adds Multimatic two-way adjustable dampers. Compression and rebound settings can be adjusted independently, allowing drivers to configure the suspension for different road and circuit conditions.
The package can reduce the car’s weight by up to 25 kg through the use of a titanium exhaust system, lithium-ion battery and carbon-fibre louvred tailgate. Lotus says the exhaust alone saves around 9 kg, while the carbon-fibre tailgate removes another 4.9 kg from a relatively high point in the vehicle.
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres and the Lotus Track Pro application are also included with the handling package.
Revised aerodynamics and cooling
The Emira 420 Sport receives a redesigned front splitter, new front bumper inserts, wheel-arch vents, extended side sills, enlarged side air intakes and a larger rear lip spoiler.
According to Lotus, these changes generate an additional 25 kg of downforce compared with the standard Emira without increasing aerodynamic drag.
Cooling performance has also been improved for extended high-load driving. Airflow to the radiators increases by 15 percent, while airflow through the exhaust valve rises by 30 percent. A dedicated track configuration can provide additional airflow to the central radiator and front brakes.
Exterior and interior changes
The 420 Sport is the first Emira to be offered with exposed exterior carbon fibre. An optional Carbon Fibre Pack adds the material to the front splitter, wheel-arch vents, side sills, side intakes, rear spoiler and rear diffuser surround.
The model is being introduced in a new Tangelo Orange exterior colour. Other identifying features include dark-tinted rear lights and 20-inch, 15-spoke forged alloy wheels finished in satin dark grey.
Customers can also select different coachlines, wheel finishes, brake-calliper colours and exterior accents.
Inside, the Emira 420 Sport combines black Nappa leather with perforated Alcantara. An optional Tangelo Orange interior theme adds contrasting leather and stitching.
Carbon-fibre gearshift paddles and model-specific 420 Sport treadplates are fitted as standard. An optional Interior Carbon Fibre Pack adds carbon trim to the steering-wheel spokes, driver-display surround and seat-back plinths.
Lotus Emira 420 Sport UAE price and availability
The Emira 420 Sport will sit at the top of the Model Year 2027 range, above the Emira Turbo, Turbo SE and V6 SE.
Lotus is also introducing a removable tinted-glass roof panel across the wider Emira range. UAE prices, ordering information and expected customer-delivery dates have not yet been announced by AGMC.
