Older residents of the UAE would remember Peugeots being all over the place about a decade ago. Heck, even we had one on our independent long-term fleet. Peugeot is oddly low-key around here nowadays, but their most recent cars are fairly attractive offerings, so we were keen to give the 308 a go. 2017 Peugeot 2008 facelift set for Geneva show debut

The French car maker, Peugeot has taken the wraps off their new 2008 SUV which is planned to be released at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The 2017 2008 have received a multifaceted grill which flaunts a perpendicular style. The headlamps, roof, roof rails, rear spoiler and rear doors are subjected to little tweaking as well. The addition of scuff plates to protect the bodywork acts as a highlight.

Middle East Motor Awards 2013 results announced


The results of the 2013 Middle East Motor Awards were announced last evening at a ceremony on the Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, hosted by Muhammed Ali Sajjad of the Expo Centre Sharjah. I was one of the 18 judges, although the cars were score and the points were tallied long ago, so were there just to hear who were the winners in each category, as well as Car Of The Year.

The sub-compact market is a lucrative segment that’s dominated by a select few. With the Toyota Yaris and the Nissan Tiida laying waste to competition by everyone from Chevrolet to Volkswagen, the latest entrant to try their luck is Peugeot. They already had the little 208, but needed more of an edge in terms of space versus price. And so, we have the Peugeot 301, a car designed for “emerging markets” that concentrates on cabin space above all else.
