There have been several high-profile post-lockdown car launches that set the internet on fire. The Nissan Patrol Nismo, the Chevy Tahoe and the upcoming Ford Bronco featured prominently among them, but those were all SUVs. The only small car to “trend” is the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which shows that cars might be giving way to SUVs, but the legendary O.G. hot hatch is always going to be around.
The hot versions of the VW Golf are always hotly anticipated, so it is with much fanfare that the 2022 VW Golf R and the Golf GTI Clubsport have been revealed, following the debut of the Golf GTI that is yet to be seen in the Middle East.
The eighth-generation 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI has been revealed, with the company’s technical boss claiming that it’s more of a “true GTI” than the outgoing model.
The VW Golf is an iconic name with decades of legacy attached to it. The German conglomerate has finally lifted the covers off the new 2020 VW Golf, the eighth generation of the hatchback.
German car manufacturer Volkswagen is now offering Middle Eastern customers exclusive aerodynamic packages created in collaboration with Oettinger Sportsystems GmbH to accentuate the sporty visuals of the Golf GTI.
With 2017 comes the mid-cycle refresh of the current and 7th generation Volkswagen Golf, bringing more power to the GTI, a racier new GTI Performance model and a 1.5-litre TSI engine for staple models with cylinder deactivation and a 7-speed DSG for the rest of the range.

We were there to witness the VW Tiguan‘s regional launch and, having seen it before in Frankfurt and Detroit already, we continue to be impressed by just looking at it. Milz expects the Tiguan to become a huge success in the GCC, but we asked him what model was currently their biggest seller in the Middle East.
With all the controversy surrounding Volkswagen’s current woes with diesel cars, it is easy to forget that dirty diesel was never a viable environmentally-friendly alternative to petrol, ever. Diesel cars became a “thing” in certain parts of the world because they offered better mileage, which is all their buyers cared about, the environment be damned.
