The current front-wheel-drive Hyundai Coupe tries hard to look like a Ferrari, but gets outrun by most hot hatches. This 2009 coupe, aims to change that. It will probably feature a new name, but the big news is the new rear-wheel-drive chassis, the option of a turbo-4 or a bigger V6, and looks that kill.

Well-placed sources suggest the engine choices for this rear-driver will be a 215 hp turbocharged inline-4 or a 300 hp V6. Now you know why it is parked next to a Ford Mustang at this closed-door marketing event where this photo was taken. Keep the price right and it will kill the competition.
