The current generation of the Nissan Murano has been out for a year now in the GCC, and is a rather rare sight on Dubai roads, partly due to an massive increase in price and partly because that increase came in the middle of the worst recession ever. However, the newly-premium Murano had actually debuted two years ago in Europe, so their version has received a facelift for 2011.
The facelift seems to only involve a very aggressive new front bumper and new wheels. The only other bit of news for the Europeans is a new 190 hp 2.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine with 450 Nm of torque, which will not available in the UAE. It is unknown if the visual update will become available in this region, as the new bumper was apparently designed to better cool the diesel motor specifically.
The 2011 Murano will come now with available 20-inch alloy wheels, power tailgate and colour rear and kerbside cameras, navigation system with 7-inch touchscreen, 9.3GB hard-drive music server, iPod port, Bluetooth, AUX connectivity, a premium 11-speaker BOSE system, optional rear-seat DVD entertainment system, xenon headlights, cruise control and electrically-folding rear seats.
