The “British” brand with a Chinese base, MG launched three new models at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show. On display alongside huge British flags were the MG 350, the MG 3 and the MG 6, joining the MG 550 and the MG 750 that debuted earlier this year in the UAE. If the naming convention confuses you, we haven’t figured it out either.
The MG 350 sub-compact sedan comes with a 107 hp 1.5-litre 4-cylinder mated to a 4-speed automatic. Features include power windows, CD stereo, available alloy wheels and more. Prices starts at Dhs 49,500.
The MG 3 sub-compact hatchback that comes with either a 87 hp 1.3-litre or a 107 hp 1.5-litre 4-cylinder, mated to a 5-speed automatic with paddle-shifters. Features include a CD stereo with USB port, front airbags, power windows and available alloy wheels. Prices start at Dhs 43,500.
The MG 6 is simply a reskinned MG 550, and comes in sedan and liftback body styles, with a 158 hp 1.8-litre turbo 4-cylinder, mated to a 5-speed automatic with paddle-shifters. Features include a CD stereo, fog lamps, cruise control, front airbags, ABS and more. Prices start at Dhs 71,500.
