First drive: 2017 Nissan Patrol SE V6 in Oman
The exterior as well as the interior are familiar. It feels like being back home. Everything we know about the Nissan Patrol is here. And we know a lot, since we bought one earlier this year. But ours is the LE V8. This is the new Patrol SE V6, a replacement for the discontinued SE V8. And the only way you can tell the difference is when you mash the throttle pedal.
Cadillac Escala Concept unveiled
Cadillac has revealed a new concept in California that hints at their future flagship sedan. Named the Escala, the new concept might spawn a new model that will sit above the CT6 sedan in their lineup.
2018 Toyota Supra rumoured to be in the pipeline
A joint venture between Toyota and BMW was formed at the beginning of 2013 to produce a sports car under each brand. While it is clear that the boffins at BMW is working on a Z4 replacement likely to be called the Z5, the picture of the Toyota’s iteration still remains murky. But in June 2016, Toyota has trademarked the iconic “Supra” moniker with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. This has pointed squarely at a reinvention of the tuner favourite, the Toyota Supra. The design of the new sports car is likely to be heavily influenced by the FT-1 concept originally unveiled in the 2014 Detroit Motor Show.
UAE petrol prices for September 2016 announced
The UAE’s Ministry of Energy has announced the new prices for petrol that will be valid for the month of September.
Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 Concept showcased at Monterey Car Week
The Monterey Car Week played host to the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 concept, a coupe that is just a bit shorter than the Rolls-Royce Phantom II and longer than its cousin, the Mercedes-Maybach S600, both full-size four-door saloons.

Koenigsegg ready for further global expansion
The Swedish super-hyper-mega car manufacturer Koenigsegg recently flew their wares all the way to California to attend the 2016 Monterey Car Week. The arsenal that they packed for the show included the Regera and the Agera XS, both homologated for use in the United States for the first time.
Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante convertible revealed
Aston Martin has released a convertible version of the Vanquish Zagato Coupe that was revealed last May at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. Named the Vanquish Zagato Volante, the car is the latest creation of a collaboration between Aston Martin and the Italian design house Zagato.
First drive: 2015 Jaguar XJ R in the UAE
The current Jaguar XJ is the flagship model that set the styling tone for all Jaguars that came after it, and while several new models have joined the range, the XJ itself is getting a bit long in the tooth. However, it’s hard to complain when it looks as modern as ever, and very unique in a class where rivals are increasingly aping the Mercedes-Benz S-Class for inspiration. Jaguar has kept the XJ fresh by playing with powertrain options over the years, and the XJR you see here is the most powerful one you can get.
