Lexus GX460 2010 now in UAE showrooms

One of our readers reports that the 2010 Lexus GX460 is now on sale at showrooms in Dubai, and likely in Abu Dhabi and elsewhere too. In fact, the model is so fresh that the floor salespeople are confused about what it is and giving hilarious answers to customer queries, such as how it is bigger than the 2010 Toyota Prado.

Based fully on the new-generation Prado, the Lexus GX460 receives a different front end, a mildly-retouched rear end, and a completely unique dashboard compared to the Toyota version.

While the top-of-the-range 2010 Prado VX-L is a fairly loaded 4×4, the Lexus GX takes it further with rear DVD entertainment, active cruise control and better leather trim, among other features.

Interestingly, the 32-valve 4.6-litre V8 with dual VVT-i has been slightly detuned for the GCC market, no doubt due to issues with petrol quality in countries like Saudi Arabia. While the U.S. version gets 301 hp and 446 Nm of torque, the GCC version has 292 hp at 5500 rpm and 438 Nm at 3500 rpm.

  2. Could be at the range of 260K not worth it.

If it was 220K could make people look at it or buy it.

  3. US retail for the top model is 210k !!! so 65000dhs is the futtaim markup, now dont tell me cuz japanese yen is strong, dirham is pegged to the dollar.

  4. Those are some decent quality switches on the dash. The Prado 2010 could’ve incorporated the same, instead they install some cheapo plastic switches for the top of the range navigation-pre-fitted prado.

  5. This car was launched at Khanoo Show room in Bahrain last Friday along with another hybrid Lexus car.

  6. It looks like someone sat on the hood of the car!!

  7. too expensive for what it can really offer. And, can they make it look even more stupid! Save your money for the new Porsche Cayenne 2011.

  8. Toyota halts sales of the Lexus GX460 in the U.S. owing to safety issues (possible roll overs)

… Another one bites the dust …
