Lexus LS 460 2011 Touring Edition debuts in US

Toyota USA has unveiled their all-new 2011 Lexus LS 460 Touring Edition which is essentially a body-kitted version of the ongoing LS 460 model with few other enhancements.

In a bid to lure the younger crowd who seek sportiness, luxury and comfort in a single package, Lexus has done a fairly good job of rejuvenating the LS 460. The Touring Edition LS model can be distinguished from regular LS models by a unique smoky granite mica exterior. Other highlights include a sports body kit and grille, sports seats wrapped in plush black and tan leather, matte brown wood trim, Wood and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, premium floor mats and 18-inch or 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. The Touring Edition LS can be had as a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel-drive variant.

It is unknown if the GCC market would get to see the Touring Edition. If it does, then it would cost two folds the price suggested by Toyota USA, which is about the equivalent of Dhs 269,000 — cheaper than the regular base LS 460 in the UAE.

What do you think?

  1. In my opinion this generation of LS has already missed it in terms of external styling. The previous ones specially the first and then the third generations were leaders in their class from styling perspective; this one though great car yet it goes anonymous on the road.

  2. the Tom’s version for all lexus look gr8 .They are based in UAE now

  3. I wish Lexus stops using those digital clocks on the dashboards as they look outgoing Corolla and Civic style in today’s DNAge and actually give a cheap feeling the the nice interior …

  4. I agree with Marwan, though the car is very expensive, but it lack the factor of presence, some other less expensive cars enjoy a big deal of presence in the street like the new optima, cadenza, BMW 5 series, the new audi A6 and A8, the new Merc E class coupe, but this car costs too much and looks bland

  5. The LS is a rich looking car, it looks nice, here in Australia you almost never see an LS460 but the other day I saw one and man, its not something that you would notice, but man o man once you notice it, you would want one.. Looks very luxurious, elegant and sophisticated at the same time maintaining its serene nature..

7 series looks like a car made for a thug.. And S-class for a gangster and A8 is for a clueless and bland person.
    Thanks,
