Lexus GS 350 all-new 2013 model revealed

Toyota has unveiled the all-new 2013 Lexus GS 350 at the U.S. Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event. The new sedan is roughly the same size as before, but is built on a brand new platform.

The 2013 Lexus GS will initially be only available with a 3.5-litre V6, good for 306 hp and 375 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed automatic only, it will be available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive forms, depending on market. Toyota claims the new car is a bit lighter and can do the 0-100 kph run in an optimistic 6 seconds. The redesigned adaptive suspension changes character based on three driving modes, either Eco, Sport S and Sport S+.

The new model is more spacious, and available features include Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, 5.1 surround sound stereo, 8-inch display, SMS text-to-speech that allows drivers to have their messages read to them and respond with pre-canned texts, Lexus Enform infotainment that allows Bing searches and Facebook integration, and U.S. Sirius XM data services for traffic, weather, sports and fuel prices, voice-enabled restaurant reservations through OpenTable and movie ticket purchasing. Optional is a 835-watt 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and a split-view 12.3-inch display for movies, navigation, audio and climate information, as well as night-vision and lane-keep assist, among others.

Expect the 2013 Lexus GS 350 to reach showrooms in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and other GCC countries by early next year.

Keep track of updates in the Lexus GS buyer guide.

  1. so im guessing lexus will still bring the detuned versions here like they always do and also price is much more than the price compared to rest of the world?

  2. Hyundai’s taillight rip-off

  3. why the hell does it look like a bmw from inside !!!!

  4. Is it just me ,dosent it look like a LEXUS ES X ISF X IS CT 200 and a little bit of GS.

It hardly feels orginal and the front end and the LEXUS logo on the steering wheel is really magnified like they are trying to hard.

BTW Is Lexus the only manufacturer who cant seem to find space on the steering wheel to place cruise control switches. That stalk is such an eye sore.

The only toyota in the coming year worth waiting for is FT-86

  5. looks much nicer the exterior the old one looks boring 🙂

    • Well I thought the old one was much classier than this new design, They could’ve just built on that design rather than re hash other Lexus models and create this frankenstein!

    • how could u say that and ur a guy it looks more aggressive now more like infiniti that why i like infiniti cause there cars look futuristic as does this.
the only nice looking car of Lexus was the [IS] and now this 🙂

  6. The Japanese lost the light… : (

  7. For those who are curios about the car..
    Here’s a live GS 350!:

  8. They lost the light a while back …

  9. All in all a nice car, but hardly original, the interior looks like BMW and the exterior just looks like the IS.

  10. the front grill and headlights looks more a new version of ‘ES’ than a GS model. New version feel more sporty and leaves the classic and soft style of current model…

  11. good to see lexus the “hyundai” way

  12. very nice and practical and from each angle you recognize a Lexus!

  13. Looks sharp, good to see that they finally sacrificed the cassette player 😉
