The special cars of Fast & Furious 6

Fast and Furious 6
The Fast & Furious movies nowadays have as much to do with street-racing as Titanic has to do with reality, but its remains the only movie series for car enthusiasts to anticipate at the moment. Here’s a look at some of the cars that have been specially-built for the latest sequel.

These photos by Universal Studios on Autoblog show a whole bunch of random classics and older models beyond the product-placement Dodge Chargers and Alfa Romeos that appear in the trailer. Where else can you see a Dodge Daytona and a Ford Escort Mk1 in the same movie? The movie apparently used between 300 and 400 cars, with as many as 7 or 8 versions of certain “hero” cars, almost all trashed by the end of filming.

What do you think?

  1. So, it’s European this time.

  2. Dude, pictures 6 American cars + 1 American bike and you sayin “it’s European this time”…. just omg

  3. LOL…Shibu..!! DODGE from Europe..!!

  4. Basically the same movie with different cars, a different setting and a slightly altered story..

    The script:
‘Somebody gets into deep s**t and uses cars to get out of the situation’.

I still love FNF and FNF3: Tokyo Drift..

FNF 12 would probably be done using tuned cars liked the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius.. It will be a very energetic one..

  5. 1978 ford escort!!!! i suggest go check the history of the ford escort, at first glance the mk1 escort looks like a 1970 works rally (replica)
owning a real 1972 X works car myself
    darran

  6. 1970 Ford Escort I have one in Pakistan.

  7. Daytona is the perfect example of, how to have a rear spoiler and yet not hindering the rear view from inside… =P and sometimes hang clothes to dry as well.

  8. I glad to see all American steel rather than a bunch of rice burners.

  9. First I will like to pay my last respect to Mr-P Poul may his soul RIP. I can’t wait to see Fast7, guys please bring the fireworks on this one
