Range Rover Sport 2014 revealed

2014 Range Rover Sport 3
The 2014 Range Rover has been revealed in time for the 2013 New York Auto show, although if you kept track of the internet, you’ll have seen the leaked photos already. If you hadn’t, you could’ve guessed anyway what it’d look like — a cross between an Evoque and a Range Rover Vogue.

Notable features include better aerodynamics due to a sharper-sloping windshield, an aluminium structure that cuts 360 kg in weight, and a gain of more than 60 mm in length to accommodate a third-row seat for the first time.

2014 Range Rover Sport 2

The Range Rover Sport can be had with either a 340 hp 3.0-litre supercharged V6 or the 510 hp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with stop/start tech and an 8-speed automatic, all shared with the larger Range Rover. In a sign that the Sport has become more of a crossover, the Sport will come with either a single-speed Torsen differential or an optional two-speed transfer case with low range.

A new Terrain Response system and height-adjustable suspension are available, although none of the press photos show the new model doing anything more than crossover-grade snow driving. It truly has become a rival for the BMW X5 and the Porsche Cayenne.

Expect the new Range Rover Sport to hit UAE, Saudi and other GCC showrooms by early next year.

Keep track of prices and updates in the Range Rover Sport buyer guide.

no need for the LR4 any more…!? 😛

  3. YES,FINALLY THIRD ROW SEATS

  4. nice but.. aed 320k plus..

    mark my word..

  5. Range Rover HAS TO CHANGE THE THIRD ROW HEADRESTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL BE REALLY DIFFICULT FOR THE DRIVER TO REVERSE THIS BEAUTIFUL SUV IF THE REARVIEW CAMERA GETS SPOILT! EVEN THOUGH, THEY CAN BE CLOSED, THEY LOOK REALLY UGLY FOR SUCH A GREAT SUV!!!!!!

  6. This rangi looks so ugly, at least not worth the premium you pay for it. It looks like the new Ford Explorer :(. The previous last model with the sparkling LED front lights looks arbab style but this one is too innocent for UAE roads.

  7. Third row seats….good joke Range Rover. Nice way to go one better than competitors on paper. I can almost imagine Sales reps going “And this sir is the third row seating covered in *fancy name* leather with rear A/C vents (I hope) so that your extended family can travel in luxury…You won’t that pesky minivan anymore.” *sigh*

  8. Waiting to see on Extreme left track!
