Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible to be limited edition for limited time

The holiday season has dawned upon us, and that’s the time Chevrolet decides to chuck the top off its “C7” Corvette Stingray. The convertible version of the Corvette will be available to customers as a limited Premiere Edition for now.

Limited to just 550 units, the Chevrolet Corvette convertible will come in a Lime Rock Green exterior and Brownstone suede interior. The vehicle also features suede-wrapped interior trim and carbon-fibre accents. All of the suede wrapping does make it sound a bit like wearing a leather jacket though!

The Premiere Edition also gets a variable performance exhaust system, a Z51 Performance Package and Magnetic Selective Ride Control. It also features unique wheels with “Stingray” logos on the centre caps and interior sill plates.

The entire 550 Corvette convertible Premiere Editions will have a unique VIN sequence and unique dash plaques commemorating their limited-edition status. The Premiere Edition Convertible will cost around US$ 77,450 which translates to Dhs 285,000, although this isn’t indicative of what it’d cost in the UAE.

They say that the Premiere Edition will arrive in dealerships in early 2014. Expect the “regular” convertible to roll out into the streets of UAE, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC in a year’s time.
