2015 Volvo XC90 officially revealed
The new generation 2015 Volvo XC90 has officially been revealed. The previous generation XC90 had a run of 12 years with decent success.
For the exterior, gone are the conservative looks of old, with the front fascia featuring a sleek headlight design and grille. The rear still features the big tail-lights running all the way up to the roof. Inside, there is third row seating which can help accommodate up to 7 people.
Two engine details have been revealed. The T6 AWD model gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged and supercharged engine which produces about 316 hp and 400 Nm of torque. There is also a plug-in hybrid version of the XC90 with the same engine, but it produces 400 hp, thanks to the combination of the electric motor. An 8-speed automatic transmission is used to deliver the power in both models.
The 2015 Volvo XC90 should make its debut in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries sometime in the coming winter.
