Dubai Police to install 70 new cameras
Dubai Police are set to install two new types of cameras in 70 new locations around the city.
One is the Rasd camera which will monitor roads, scan vehicle number plates and alert the police operations room and patrols if any wanted vehicle passes by it.
The second type of camera is called Al Mutabea which will quickly identify cars breaking any traffic rules.
Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police Chief, said the cameras have the latest HD technology to provide high quality images. They are also equipped with 4G connections to instantly send the images to the operations room.
The Rasd and the Al Mutabea cameras are the latest initiative by Dubai Police to reduce overall crime in the city.

Isn’t breaking the law a crime?

Depends. You have some different degrees. like “offence”. Crime is supposed to send you to jail, if I’m correct.

Leborde is right!! Traffic matters always count as a Offence!! crime has a different definition.

The way a lot of people drive in this country…you can classify them as crimes. So good job Dubai Police for putting these up.

I wish if someone can invent the camera which can give fine to the slow moving cars on highways, As well as Commercial vehicles on Fast Track.
