2017 Renault Megane Sedan revealed as Fluence replacement

Renault has unveiled the Megane Sedan, a replacement for the lukewarm Fluence.

The Megane sedan lifts its design details from the larger Renault Talisman that was launched in Europe last year but never managed to come to the GCC; highlighted by C-shaped headlights and a massive Renault logo on the radiator grille. Renault claims “top-level rear-seat spaciousness”, which is likely considering the Fluence had one of the largest rear cabins in its class.

Just like the Megane Hatch and Estate, the Sedan gets two petrol engines, one with 115 hp and another with 130 hp, aside from a bunch of diesel options. Depending on the engine choice, a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic are available.

Depending on trim level, features include a 7-inch colour TFT digital counter, an 8.7-inch I-surface multimedia tablet, a colour head-up display and more.

The new Megane Sedan will be manufactured in Turkey and exported to more than 20 countries around the world, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Keep track of GCC updates in the Renault buyer guide.
