So we got a 2017 Land Rover Discovery

The new Land Rover Discovery is not a good-looking vehicle. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, remember that the current Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol and even Range Rover were received with equal hate from the general public, only for them to become “dream” cars for those same people in less than a year, and they both currently dominate the sales charts. In all likelihood, the Discovery will pull off the same feat, once everyone gets used to it. We were just about starting to warm up to it when we had one for a few days.

The Disco gives off an unmistakable Range Rover vibe both inside and out, and that is what attracts us to this latest iteration of what was known as the LR4.

Just check out the versatility of this vehicle, with its multiple ride heights and its trick storage spaces.

And there are aspects of the drive that are rather endearing. But does it still go offroad as well as the older ones. Find out more in the full review.

  1. Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol and even Range Rover were received with equal hate from the general public, only for them to become “dream” cars for those same people in less than a year…
Can get around this statement? How is the patrol or land cruiser qualify as being dream cars?? Range Rover I understand but not those two..

    • For working-class adults, dream cars don’t just mean luxury or exotic cars.

    • Not just for working class, but even elites own these vehicles as your luxury suv won’t perform that well in tough offroad condition. Not only these vehicles are durable, highly customizable, but they can carry lot of people and also have most of the luxury amenities covered. Its a different feeling, when you are in desert with 5 friends together in a car, chatting, joking and enjoying the fun together. Not all people people can understand that, especially little bit extra fortunate ones, i mean money wise.

    • Someone just got out of high school it seems..

  2. Don’t know whats wrong with the statement… the Prado and Discovery are not considered handsome but the demand for the Prado in KSA is ridiculous. Its understandable why people prefer unitilatarion SUV here because of durability and peace of mind because of road conditions
