Ford reveal 2018 Expedition, Mustang and F-150 in UAE & GCC
Ford revealed three new models in the Middle East ahead of the 2017 Dubai International Motorshow, with the new-generation 2018 Ford Expedition, as well as the facelifted 2018 Ford Mustang and 2018 F-150.
The new generation 2018 Ford Expedition comes with an all-new design inside and out, new tech, more power, and more towing capability than the previous model.
Powered by a second-generation 3.5-litre EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 engine with standard Auto Start-Stop plus a new 10-speed automatic transmission, it produces up to 400 hp on the top of the line Platinum model along with 610 Nm of torque.
The new-generation Expedition’s Terrain Management System has up to 7 drive modes including a Sand Mode, paired with a two-speed transfer case with low gear range and a rear electronic limited-slip differential that allows a full differential lock.
Ford claims the 2018 Expedition offers the best-in class leg room as well as hip room in both the second and third row seats.
Along with updated looks, the 2018 Mustang gets a power upgrade as well, delivering 460 hp on the GT and 570 Nm torque, and 310 horsepower on the EcoBoost turbo engine and 475 Nm torque. The new 2018 Mustang also offers the new 10-speed auto transmission on all models with an upgraded manual on the GT.
The new model also comes with new paint colours, wheel choices and a new optional 12-inch customisable digital instrument cluster which it receives from the Ford GT.
For 2018, the F-150 arrives with new styling, new tech, and a segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission.
