2018 GMC Sierra Desert Fox GCC-exclusive concept at Dubai Motor Show

GMC dug up the Desert Fox nameplate from the 70s for the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show to inspire the unique Desert Fox Middle East Concept Truck. Displayed alongside an original example of this special edition from 1977, the new concept is a more beefed-up version of the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 crew-cab pickup.

The Titanic-sized Desert Fox Middle East Concept Truck was created exclusively for the Middle East region, with a similar desert colour and motif application to that of the original model. It is designed with a range of features, courtesy of GM-certified accessories such as a sports bar, performance exhaust system and LED roof lights, complemented with exclusively-developed prototype parts, including off-road front and rear bumpers, Baja style fenders, desert terrain tyres, beadlock wheels, front recovery winch and Desert Fox theme stripes.

With the original Desert Fox Jimmy & Sierra first released in 1977, GMC celebrated the 40th anniversary of the launch by exhibiting a restored 1979 Jimmy model that spent its life in Saudi Arabia.
