The Honda HR-V has been around since 2016 but got a mid-cycle refresh in 2019, which is the one coming here. This model comes with a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine, mated to a CVT. It will be available in three trims – DX, LX and EX with prices starting from AED 68,000.

The refreshed 2019 Honda Pilot also made its debut, featuring some exterior and interior changes. The engine remains unchanged, which is the 3.5-litre V6. The exterior now has new bumpers, front grille, alloy wheels, LED headlights, and revised taillights. A hands-free tailgate is now available. In the interior, the gauge cluster is replaced with a new one. The infotainment system is updated with Honda’s latest software and a new rear entertainment system is now available. The volume slider is now replaced with a volume knob.

The 2019 Honda CR-V gets few changes as well such as the infotainment system getting new updated software. Another new feature is the hands-free access power tail-gate which allows you to open the trunk by swiping your foot under the rear bumper.

The Honda CB1000R motorcycle, the Japanese brand’s “naked-bike” offering, gets a new design, with improvements made to the 998 cc liquid-cooled 4-cylinder engine for better mid-range acceleration. Riders can now select from three riding modes-Sport, Normal and Rain, while there is also a “User” mode which gives riders more control over power and torque delivery. The 4-stroke 1.0-litre motor produces 144 hp and 104 Nm of torque. Fuel tank capacity is 16.2 litres and delivers a fuel efficiency of 5.9 litres/100 km (17km/l).

Honda Middle East released the BF175, BF200, BF225 and BF250 Marine engines. The BF250 gets the carried over 3.6-litre V6 engine, while the others are powered by a new motor. With the improvements in the new engines, maintenance times have dropped significantly, while Honda claims it has improved corrosion resistance as well. Also new is the optional “Drive by Wire” which gives boaters control of up to four engines and two control stations. The Drive by Wire system provides engine speed synchronization, and single handle control of all engines while synchronized.

  1. It was so important to have an HR-V, CR-V refresh and Pilot refresh. OK, nice; now, what about the cars for the rest of us? Type R Civic, Type R Accord (to be created again), S 600 / 800 or S2020?

    Also, any news about Acura?

  2. When is the HRV model releasing?
