700,000 km Nissan Pathfinder Gets Complimentary Makeover from Nissan Dubai

As part of its “Keep It Rolling” Ramadan campaign, Arabian Automobiles Company (AAC), the distributor of Nissan in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, has celebrated the bond between driver and vehicle — in this case, a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder that has clocked over 700,000 kilometres.

Owned by Mr. Parameswaran, the Pathfinder was originally purchased as a surprise gift for his wife back in 2000. Now, nearly 24 years later, the SUV is still running strong — a symbol of Nissan’s long-standing reputation for reliability.

His son, Vaishnav, recalls the beginning of the journey: “My dad walked into Arabian Automobiles in Deira and drove out with a surprise for my mom — a brand new 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. 24 years and countless adventures later, it’s still going strong.”

AAC marked the occasion by gifting Mr. Parameswaran a AED 50,000 makeover package, which includes:

  • A full body colour wrap

  • Brand new Bridgestone tyres

  • Exterior paint restoration

  • Refreshed interiors

  • Essential mechanical upgrades

The Pathfinder’s longevity can be credited to the vehicle’s build quality, AAC’s aftersales support and the use of genuine parts. Of course, a large credit also goes to the owner for putting the time and effort to properly maintain the vehicle.

The story serves as a reminder of the emotional connection drivers can have with their vehicles, and how proper maintenance through authorised service centres can extend a car’s life.

  1. My Nissan Sunny is still going strong and the current mileage is KMS 702,000. My wife and I bought this car in 1998 at ‘0’ mileage and at that time AAC was running a promotion in your old showroom in Deira, now modified and the campaign was : The more you weigh, the less you pay however my wife was weighing 40kgs and I did not earn that much to take a loan from SCB (Std Chart Bnk)
Iam still driving this car and super sentimental about this car, it is a member if the family and we can never part with it.

      Amazing story, Russel.

I remember during the 90s the Nissan Sunny, Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic were the dominant choices for new car buyers. I personally loved the look of the Mitsubishi Lancer from that era.

My dad went with the Corolla in 1996 which was passed down to me. Sold it n 2010 unfortunately in perfect working condition because I needed a slightly more powerful car for my Abu Dhabi runs.

  2. Nissan brand strong always good 💯 don’t wanna more explanation for Nissan brand good us well

  3. I have 2005 pathfinder with about 303k KM and same color and design, also, with performance filter, headers, exhaust and programming for computer.
I’m very happy to see same of my car running in UAE
