Nissan Debuts All-new Frontier Pro Plug-in Hybrid and Dongfeng Nissan N7 EV
Nissan has unveiled two all-new electrified models at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show, headlined by the Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup and the Dongfeng Nissan N7 electric sedan, as part of its plan to launch nine New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in China by mid-2027.
Nissan Frontier Pro – PHEV pickup
Marking Nissan’s first-ever plug-in hybrid and electrified pickup, the Frontier Pro is a rugged yet tech-heavy five-seater designed for both urban driving and weekend adventures.
Highlights:

Powertrain: 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with a high-output electric motor; combined output of 300 kW and 800 Nm of torque.

EV-only range: Up to 135 km (China spec).

Drivetrain: All-wheel drive with 5-link rear suspension and electromechanical rear diff lock.

Drive modes: Hybrid, Pure Electric, Performance, and Snow.

Design: “Rugged Tech” concept with illuminated Nissan logo, LED hood lights inspired by the classic D21 hardbody pickup.

Developed jointly with Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA), the Frontier Pro is set to go on sale in China later in 2025 and will also be exported to select international markets.
Dongfeng Nissan N7 – All-electric sedan
Also showcased was the Dongfeng Nissan N7, a sleek EV sedan that officially goes on sale in China this month. The car is packed with intelligent features and aerodynamic design aimed at elevating passenger comfort.
