Nissan Magnite Earns 5-Star Safety Rating from Global NCAP
Nissan Magnite has achieved a 5-star overall safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Program (GNCAP), making it one of the safest choices in its segment. The compact SUV scored a perfect 5 stars for adult occupant protection and 3 stars for child occupant protection.
According to Richard Woods, CEO of Global NCAP, the result reflects Nissan’s commitment to improving safety performance in a short time frame, demonstrating what can be achieved when a manufacturer fully engages with NCAP standards.
The Magnite underwent rigorous crash tests, including assessments for adult and child protection, safety assist systems, and pedestrian protection. It performed strongly in all categories, thanks to a reinforced body structure with 67% high-tensile steel, six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and vehicle dynamic control.

Leon Dorssers, Nissan’s Senior Vice President for the AMIEO region, said the recognition was “immensely rewarding” and reinforced the brand’s priority of making safety a core focus across its lineup.
The Middle East is the first market in the world to receive the left-hand-drive (LHD) Magnite, which debuted in Saudi Arabia in March 2025, shortly followed by the UAE market. The model is also being exported to Africa and Southeast Asia. Across all variants, it comes equipped with over 40 standard safety features, including ISOFIX mounts, three-point seatbelts for all seats, seatbelt reminders, child locks, and rear parking sensors.
