Cadillac V-ONE Concept Debuts With 830 hp Hybrid V8 and Race-Car Hardware

Cadillac has unveiled the V-ONE Concept, a single-seat performance study that combines technology from its V-Series.R endurance race car with the brand’s luxury-focused design and materials.

The V-ONE is the first single-seat concept of its kind from Cadillac, with its name combining the company’s V-Series performance badge with a “one-of-one” philosophy. The concept was jointly developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing and Italian race-car constructor Dallara.

830 hp hybrid V8 powertrain

At the heart of the Cadillac V-ONE Concept is a hybrid V8 powertrain producing a combined 830 hp. Cadillac says the drivetrain shares its foundations with the V-Series.R racing prototype.

The similarities extend beyond the engine. The V-ONE also borrows elements of the race car’s suspension, transmission and electronic architecture, although Cadillac says the concept has been designed to be easier to operate while retaining a similar level of performance.

Its suspension setup includes double wishbones with pushrod-actuated coil and torsion spring elements, along with lateral and heave dampers at both ends.

Cadillac has not announced figures for acceleration, top speed or vehicle weight.

Based on Cadillac V-Series.R

The V-ONE draws heavily from Cadillac’s LMDh motorsport programme and the V-Series.R that competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship.

Since the V-Series.R made its debut in 2023, Cadillac says its racing programme has accumulated 10 victories, 16 pole positions and 32 podium finishes. The record includes the 2023 IMSA manufacturer, team and driver championships, the 2025 Le Mans Hyperpole and a one-two finish at the FIA World Endurance Championship round in São Paulo.

The concept retains much of the V-Series.R’s basic body shape and proportions, accompanied by an aerodynamic package inspired by the racing car.

Cadillac has added a new V-Series wheel design, darker V-Series badging and a hand-sprayed exterior finish that transitions from silver to deep navy, intended to represent the change from daytime to night during an endurance race.

Single-seat bespoke cockpit

Inside, the V-ONE uses a single-seat cockpit surrounded by exposed carbon-fibre structure, with Cadillac attempting to combine the environment of a racing prototype with more personalised materials and interfaces.

The steering wheel uses a race-car-inspired design and can have its button layout tailored to the individual driver. Cadillac also mentions recycled fabrics from its Cadillac Collection, a serialized door plaque and a seat customised to the driver’s specifications.

An accompanying driver interface is designed to provide performance data and coaching as the driver explores the capabilities of the vehicle.

“The Cadillac V-ONE Concept is the ultimate manifestation of a customer performance concept and is a clear sign of our ambition for the Cadillac V-Series brand in the future,” said Dominic Najafi, Executive Design Director, Global Cadillac.

Cadillac has not announced plans to put the V-ONE into series production. The concept made its public appearance at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California.
