Nissan has finally uncovered their new 2018 Leaf electric hatchback at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 2018 Nissan Leaf comes with a completely overhauled design and better range. Though there are two models with different battery capacities, 40 kWh and 60 kWh, Nissan stressed mostly on the former, probably saving the latter (called the E-Plus) for another session.

The latest in a string of recent crossover and SUV launches from Nissan, the 2018 incarnation of the ever-popular X-Trail seems an intentionally conservative mid-life refresh focusing on aesthetic, refinement and technology updates. The “world’s best-selling SUV” according to Nissan – and brand’s best-selling model with 835,000 units sold in 2016 alone – the Japanese automaker understandably doesn’t quite yet feel the need to upset such a successfully well-positioned proverbial apple cart. Hyundai’s premium brand Genesis was launched with the aim to take on the German luxury cars by offering better value-for-money. It all started with the large Genesis G90 and the the smaller G80, the latter unfortunately starting life as a Hyundai-badged model. Now they have turned their attention towards the entry-luxury compact segment. At the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Hyundai revealed the Genesis G70, a sedan tailored to lock horns with the BMW 3-Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
