Total lubricant deal with Al Futtaim Automotive

Total Middle East FZE (Marketing), has signed a three-year exclusive lubricant supply agreement with Al Futtaim Automotive, the UAE’s largest car distributor. The deal means that every third new car in the UAE will run on Total lubricants, positioning Total as one of the leading brands in the UAE lubricant market.

Nasser Al Attiyah first in victory for VW Scirocco racer

Volkswagen Motorsport driver, Nasser Al Attiyah, raced to first place in a one-two-three class victory for alternative power cars at the Nürburgring 24-hour race in Germany. The three Bio Natural Gas powered Scirocco GT24-CNGs retained Volkswagen’s untarnished three year alternative power non-retirement record, completing the race with total reliability in front of 220,000 spectators on 16 May.

Automechanika Middle East 2010 closes in Dubai

Automechanika Middle East 2010, the region’s premier trade and networking event for the automotive aftermarket, wound up on a positive note at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre with organisers reporting a 33% increase in the number of interntaional visitors after day two of the exhibition. A majority of exhibitors and trade visitors reported a large number of deals, business enquiries and leads generated over the three days of the show.
