Audi has revealed the new 2020 Audi A4 range, which includes the A4 sedan, the S4 sedan which now gets a TDI diesel, the A4 Avant, and the A4 All-Road.
To combat the rein of the Tesla Model S in the electric sedan segment, Audi has unveiled the Audi e-Tron GT. Fitting into a line of three e-Tron models from Audi, with the e-Tron SUV and the upcoming e-Tron Sportback, the e-Tron GT is still in its concept guise. But Audi forecasts a 2020 release for this almost production-ready liftback.
Audi is late to the electric-car game, although it’s never too late in the Middle East, considering EVs are yet to take off here. So it’s interesting that the German carmaker decided to hold the international media launch of their first mainstream all-electric vehicle — the E-tron — in Abu Dhabi.
Audi officially launched the Q8 in the GCC a few months ago as their new SUV flagship, with a drive around Omani mountains. Late to the game when it comes to “four-door coupe crossover” thingies, the Q8 vaguely follows the design theme of the ugly BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe models, but does it in a much better job of combining an SUV with a roof design similar to a coupe.
The Audi R8 comes with an aggressive facelift for 2019, and importantly, the same naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 under its hood rather than a turbo-V6. And to much delight, it also comes with a boost in power.
After the A4 and TT, it’s the Audi Q3 that goes to the salon to get an update for the new model year. The 2019 Audi Q3 arrives as the crossover’s second generation. The first generation was released in 2011 and had been languishing since without major updates.
Right after updating their A4 family car for 2019, Audi has turned their attention towards their VW Golf-based sports car, the Audi TT. So, with updated looks, more features and new engines comes the 2019 Audi TT.
Walking into another model year, the 2019 Audi A4 sedan and Avant wagon get some discreet updates. The changes are just enough to give the fairly fresh design of the A4 some momentum as it moves on to another year.
From the Mercedes-Benz’s diesel emission scandal to the Takata airbag issue playing a cameo, here is a list of all the recalls that happened in the past month.
