When we first heard that Jaguar was going to do their own SUV, we didn’t think it made much sense, considering the carmaker’s other half is dedicated to only building SUVs, including crossovers. It then got a name which made even less sense. Then we saw it in the flesh, and it looked like it could be an interesting vehicle. Our writer Gautam drove it overseas, but we finally got to look at one up close and personal ourselves.
After Hyundai officially announced last year that they will make Genesis a separate luxury brand, the G90 takes its place as the Korean manufacturer’s flagship sedan. Assigned with the tough task of taking on the established premium German carmakers, the G90 has to deliver on the necessary components of a luxury car, which for the most part it does.
Our 2007 Honda S2000 went in for “40k” major service last week. Our car has less than 25,000 km on the clock, but a year had passed since the last service. The current Jaguar XJ is the flagship model that set the styling tone for all Jaguars that came after it, and while several new models have joined the range, the XJ itself is getting a bit long in the tooth. It’s happened. The 2017 Nissan Patrol is now available with a V6 engine, as the existing 317 hp Patrol SE V8 has already been discontinued. And the V6 is already in Dubai showrooms quietly on display in the UAE.

BMW’s little sub-brand Mini has been catching a lot of flak lately for, well, not being so mini any more. Having driven every “new” Mini for the past decade, we can attest to the fact that they’ve been growing, but it’s also become more refined and practical as time went on. Of course, there’s a limit to how much space you can get out of a 3-door hatchback, so a few years ago, BMW had the bright idea to turn Mini into an entire range of cars that aren’t so small any more. Revealed late last year, the Clubsport version of the ever-popular VW Golf GTI is supposed to be the most aggressive version of this front-driver yet. But with VW’s own Golf R available for just a few bucks more, does the Clubsport make sense?
