As we’ve said before, the Honda S2000 is supremely reliable when it comes to mechanicals. But keep it in top cosmetic condition is a never-ending battle due to all sorts of random cost-cutting measures by Honda.
Honda showed off the new Civic Type R Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. First revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show a few months ago, the Type R Concept features an aggressive body kit and turbocharged engine, with the Honda design team calling it a “racing car on the road”.
The Ford F-Series continues to perform strongly in the United States, coming in first place as the top-selling vehicle of 2013.
It is interesting that Honda has chosen India to launch the all-new version of the subcompact Honda City, which pretty much sums up their target market. The new model literally debuted just hours ago at a media event in New Delhi.
The 2015 Honda Civic Type-R is nearing the end of its development stage, to the point where journalists from around the world, including the GCC, have been invited to briefly test the prototype in Japan this week. Of course, we weren’t invited. But the reviews are already coming in.
The results of the 2013 Middle East Motor Awards were announced last evening at a ceremony on the Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, hosted by Muhammed Ali Sajjad of the Expo Centre Sharjah. I was one of the 18 judges, although the cars were score and the points were tallied long ago, so were there just to hear who were the winners in each category, as well as Car Of The Year.
The Honda S2000 is one of the greatest cars ever built, and it’s funny that we say this, because we never took it seriously when it was actually still in showrooms. Honda never seemed to have a media test car, and we figured it wouldn’t be much of a runner anyway, based on its measly horsepower and torque specs. We did shop for one back in 2008, among other options, but couldn’t afford even a used one due to sky-high resale values. Eventually, we did buy one last year of course, paying a premium for a good example, not because we were specifically looking for one,
Honda has put up pictures and given a slight peak into the details of the upcoming generation of the Honda Odyssey on their website. The variant put up is essentially the one that will serve the Japanese Domestic Market, but it may not be the one that will make its way into the Middle-East.
Over the years, Mugen has earned a reputation for creating some of the meanest looking and sounding Honda’s in the market. And it goes without saying, their new work on the new Jazz doesn’t disappoint, at-least on the design part.
