The 2012 Infiniti FX50 Sebastian Vettel Edition was launched in the GCC this week, at an event in Dubai, coinciding with the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix. Additionally, there was an event held for potential customers to take a ride with Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel around the Al Forsan karting track in Abu Dhabi.

So if you thought that the crazy automobile recall saga had ended, you were wrong. Since our last post on the recalls earlier this year, there were an insane amount of recalls that followed, from almost every car manufacturer in the world you can ever think of, almost all of them being issued following instructions from the U.S.-based NHTSA agency. The Infiniti JX35 is one car that nobody was actually anticipating. Unlike the next Toyota Prado or the latest Lexus LX, this all-new Infiniti is going with an all-new nameplate and will have an uphill task establishing the “JX” moniker. Just launched in the GCC, it might be yet another crossover in a line-up that already has the FX and the EX, but this is an important model. Heriot-Watt University hosts fashion show at Infiniti Centre Dubai


The new Infiniti Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road held a fashion show on 20th April 2012, hosted by Heriot Watt University. The event titled Aura Fashion Show promoted designs of the university’s fashion-design students. This is the second time a fashion show is hosted at the new Infiniti Centre, the first one being held earlier last month showcasing clothing lines of international designer Akl Fakih and Emarati designer Fatima Al Kaabi. It is part of of a marketing push to associate the upscale Infiniti brand with high-society happenings.
