Hard to believe, but our 2008 Jaguar XK is a decade old now. I’d say we’ve kept it cleaner than most, even though we simply park it outside all the time and service it once a year. Real premium cars (not the rebadged stuff from mainstream carmakers) are generally built with better materials, so they last longer in terms of trim and leather (but not always mechanically). However, our Jag needed a bit of care to keep it looking fresh.

2018 Jaguar F-Type 4-cylinder officially released

Right after revealing cars like the XE SV Project 8 and XJR575, Jaguar has taken a step in the opposite direction of the performance scale by downsizing the engine of the F-Type sports car. This new cat on the block will now come with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of 296 hp, putting the F-Type in the odd position of competing with both the Porsche 911 and the Porsche 718.

2018 Jaguar XJR575 Super Sedan revealed

Jaguar is on a run, churning out car after car. The XE SV Project 8 that was released a few days ago was the British manufacturer’s answer to the compact sedans from the Mercedes AMG and BMW M division. And now they have turned their attention towards their full-size sedan, the XJ. Jaguar has given the XJ a bunch of performance updates to create the 2018 Jaguar XJR575 Super Sedan.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace sub-compact crossover debuts

Jaguar has launched a new sub-compact crossover to accompany the F-Pace in its lineup. The new model called the E-Pace will lock horns with the trio from Germany, Mercedes GLA, Audi Q3 and the BMW X1. Loosely based on the Range Rover Evoque as both are front-wheel-drive-based platforms, the E-Pace is expected to hone Jaguar’s appeal to the crossover buyers.

Jaguar Classic debuted its first ‘Reborn’ Jaguar E-type at the Techno-Classica Essen show in April. An initial batch of 10 “expertly sourced and comprehensively restored” examples of the ancient E-type are now offered for sale direct from the new Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works facility in the UK.

There are a few obvious things you should know about owning a luxury car. One is dealer maintenance and repair can be ridiculously expensive. The other is that most non-dealer garages don’t know how to maintain or repair a modern luxury car beyond the mechanical basics. So you can save money by going to non-dealer garages, but certain tasks can only be performed by the dealer. The tricky part is figuring out which is which without losing a ton of money on experimentation. We did exactly that with our Jaguar XK.

2018 Jaguar F-Pace, XE and XF get new 4-cylinder engine option

Jaguar has announced changes to their 2018 F-Pace, XE and XF models, including a new “Ingenium” 4-cylinder engine for all three models. It replaces the older 4-cylinder Ecoboost-derived turbo motor that was bummed off of Ford and did duty in the base XE, the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. Expect the latter two to get the new engine soon.
