Peugeot Middle East, part of the Stellantis Group, today announced that it will supply DHL Middle East with the region’s first fully electric fleet of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs). Peugeot is currently the only automotive manufacturer in the Middle East to offer fully electric LCVs, reinforcing the brand’s mission to lead the market in electrification and carbon net zero automotive products and exceed the expectations of its customers.
Peugeot is a manufacturer that still dishes out some glorious wagons in the age of SUVs. The 2022 Peugeot 308 SW debuts, bringing in more style and added practicality to the compact segment.
With more than eight years under its belt, the aging Peugeot 308 gets a new generation. With design cues from the smaller 208 hatch, larger 508 sedan as well as the 3008 and 5008 crossovers, the third-gen Peugeot 308 is quite a looker and it comes with VW Golf on its radar.
The Peugeot 508 is one of the most handsome sedans right now, but it’s saddled with one of the weakest powertrains in its class. Indeed, the French brand has never been about outright power, being outclassed by even the most boring Japanese carmakers. Hence there is a sense of occasion when Peugeot unveiled their most powerful road-going cars ever — the Peugeot 508 PSE plug-in-hybrid.
The luxury car market is an ever-growing space and mainstream brands from around the world have been trying to grab their piece which is otherwise dominated by the German brands. PSA Group, which owns Citroen and Peugeot, had recently jumped into the ring with DS, their semi-luxury spin-off of Citroen. They have entered the luxury sedan segment with a new model, christened 2021 DS 9. The plug-in-hybrid sedan comes with a handsome design and a lot of tech to lock horns with the established rivals.
The 2019 Peugeot 508 has finally made its way to the UAE and other GCC markets since it was officially revealed at last year’s Paris Motor Show in October. The reason for the slight delay is apparently because Peugeot has been testing the cars in this region to address any reliability issues. That’s good news from a brand that became synonymous with cars that didn’t go more than a few years before they were given up on, including us when we owned a Peugeot 307 XSi a decade ago.
Superminis have always been considered as a practical city slicker with no panache. But the new 2019 Peugeot 208 may change that with its handsome styling.
Peugeot 508 was the brand’s flagship sedan when the first generation model was released in 2011. Six years later, they’ve introduced the next generation model with sharper aesthetics and a better set of engines.
Peugeot hasn’t been an active player in the pickup segment since the demise of their 207-based Hoggar pickup (which we didn’t get in the GCC) three years ago. But now they are back in business with a new pickup named in the most literal way possible. It’s called the Peugeot Pick Up.
