After bringing out the 718 Boxster, Porsche has pulled the covers off their new model, the 2017 718 Cayman, at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. The new Cayman will be priced lower than the Boxster, making it the first Cayman to be less expensive than the Boxster convertible.

Porsche is going to rebadge their Boxster and Cayman as “718” models this year, complete with 4-cylinder turbo engines, the first of which have just been revealed. We’ve never had any interest in the Porsche Panamera before, for obvious reasons, but when the Dubai dealership offered us a plug-in hybrid version of the same car, we were all for trying it out, especially since we had the car for the better part of a week to put it through various scenarios.
