The fact that we’re running out of fossil fuels isn’t a joke. As a matter of fact, we’ve seen car manufacturers across the globe tighten the screws a bit, to achieve better fuel economy. However, according to some, the future of zero emission and zero fossil fuels is not electric cars, but rather hydrogen fuel cells. Toyota hopes to conquer Japanese taxi market with JPN Concept


Firstly, lets point out that Toyota isn’t doing all that bad in the Japanese taxi industry. However, their biggest rival at this point is Nissan, and in an attempt to overshadow the competition, Toyota is showcasing the new JPN Taxi Concept. The car was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show, and comes off as a riff on the legendary London Taxi.

The Tokyo Motor Show is the top automotive motorshow in Asia, and the 2013 edition kicked off on November 20 with an array of international debuts. Alongside parallel debuts with the L.A. Auto Show for the Jaguar F-Type Coupe, the Porsche Macan, the Mini Cooper and the Nissan GT-R Nismo, Tokyo also played host to numerous concepts, such as the Nissan BladeGlider, the Subaru Viziv, the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV, the Ken Okuyama Design Kode9, the Daihatsu Kopen, the Honda S660 and the Nissan IDx Freeflow.
