We try out Honda Accord and Legend autonomous prototypes in Japan (video)

After getting into the self-driving game a little late compared to several other mainstream carmakers, Honda plans to introduce cars with highly-automated driving capabilities in most driving situations by 2025. We tried out their latest autonomous prototypes during a trip to Honda’s R&D centre in Tochigi, Japan recently.

So we got a 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor

Ford is off-the-wall crazy at the moment, and credit goes to their just-replaced CEO for allowing it. We’re talking about their enthusiast line-up. For a mainstream carmaker, they’ve come with exciting cars as exotic as the Ford GT all the way to as humble as the Ford Fiesta ST (neither of which are on sale in the GCC at the moment). In between, there are the Taurus SHO, Fusion Sport, Explorer Sport, Ranger Wildtrak, all the Mustang variants, Focus ST and the Focus RS. First drive: 2017 Nissan GT-R in the UAE (video)

It’s hard to believe that the R35-generation Nissan GT-R has been around for almost a decade. We’ve been following the development of the Bentley Bentayga quite closely. We saw it up close in concept form, with that much-derided front-end. We saw it in its world debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, where we saw its famous Breitling dash-clock option that costs as much as the car. We even saw it in Dubai at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show where we interviewed one of the designers. Unfortunately we never got a chance to get behind the wheel since it hit the roads in 2016, but we were finally given this blue one to try out for a couple of days.

Illegally-imported Lamborghini Murcielago crushed in Taiwan (video)

Taiwan has some very strict laws that govern the trade of importing cars into the country. A person who owned a Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 learned it the hard way. Taiwanese authorities decided that to send a message to the people, the best way was to destroy the illegally-imported Italian supercar publicly in front of cameras. When a YouTube channel, J.K Photography, uploaded the video, it sent not just the message, but much heartbreak as well.

Rimac Concept One electric hypercar beats Ferrari LaFerrari and Tesla P90D

Electric cars were always a go-to option for scientists and researchers when it comes to employing renewable sources of energy for motoring applications.
