Barbican ride-pimping campaign winner

While dumb shows such as Pimp My Ride become repititive after five episodes, it inspired drink-maker Barbican’s Supe-up Your Ride promotion, which offered regional owners of crappy cars the chance to win a free refurbishment and customisation of their ride. During their 3-month promotion, visitors were asked to upload videos of their old beaters on clipatbarbican.com, and other site visitors voted on which ones should be customised. The winners included this R32-spec Nissan Skyline GTS.
The exterior was given a full body kit, paint job, xenon lights, 18-inch rims and under-body neon lights. The inside got a full-leather interior, including dash, panels and woofer-box, a state-of-the-art sound system and more neon lighting effects.

I like the old car better..its looks beat. A car that seems like its won many a street battles.

by Mashfique Hussain Chowdhury, on February 26 2008 @ 4:15 pm
That one’s the car that came out in 1990. Not a GT-R however.

If I was the guy i would have told them to upgrade the performance also. And Mash, is there any news on a new Supra other than the future review??
by Mashfique Hussain Chowdhury, on February 26 2008 @ 10:12 pm
There will be a very expensive Lexus sports car, but other than that, everything else is just rumours.

A really good job on this car. However, the front bumper doesnt look all that great…they could have gone for a better design.

lol saad thats what i meant by sheep in wolf’s clothing. all they did was make it look good. nothing done to the engine etc.
by Bashar Dahdah, on February 26 2008 @ 11:29 pm
cb that’s what he means. Underneath the hood it is still a sheep…

The after effect looks pretty sad…please do not tell me that those are blue and white interiors - they made this car for a pansy!!!!
The original black with gold rims gave a mean look - shd hv done a black metallic job with air brush flame done. stuck to the gold rims
Even a plain momo steering wheel, aluminium pedals, a chunkier gear stick with a short shifter are base modifications….
THE HANDBRAKE IS BLUE!!!!! OMG!!!!! get outta here
maybe the pictures don’t do justice but a pretty sad job. I’m sure there is no tuning done on the engine. The skyline has amazing scope for engine tuning.
Blue handbrake..hahahahahaha. I guess the small orange type button to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard is to SELF DESTRUCT incase you get insulted too much…
