Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible 2011 revealed

The new Bentley Continental Superports Convertible 2011 has been revealed. It claims to be the fastest four-seat convertible in the world. Having the same ‘W12’ 6-litre engine, it produces 621 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The Supersports Convertible, with its all-wheel drive system and improved transmission, reaches 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 325 km/h.

The engine can be run on both normal petrol and biofuel, following up on their commitment to making all their cars more environmentaly friendly by 2012. If run on biofuel, CO2 emissions are significantly reduced.

The four-seat cabin has lightweight carbon fibre and lightweight front sports seats. The steering wheel and gear lever is padded with leather, and some drilled alloy pedals are added.

The exterior is pretty much similar to the hardtop. It gets some new lightweight, 20-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels with 275/35Z R20 Pirelli tires. The muscular wheel arches provide downforce to the car, and the centre air intake and vertical grilles provide air to the turbocharger intercoolers while the bonnet vents remove hot air from the engine bay. Larger twin exhaust tips are added and a fixed rear boot lip to improve aerodynamics.

Expect this model to be in the UAE and GCC by the end of the year. For the latest updates and specs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for Bentley models, check the Bentley buyer guide.
