So we got a 2016 Toyota Prius
The Toyota Prius is finally in the GCC! Frankly speaking, no matter how much hate the Prius gets, we’ve always been fascinated by it, since it came to define the hybrid car.

It’s been possibly a year since I’ve personally driven my own Honda S2000. My brother, sub-editor Marouf, gets to enjoy it more as a runabout on occassion, keeping the mechanicals greased. It’s the cost of being busy building a business and owning three other more practical child-friendly cars and having a string of test cars that we have to drive as part of our jobs. But the other day, I finally found time to go for a round. Damn, I had forgotten how this thing drives.
The 2016 New York Auto Show is playing host to the world debut of the all-new 2017 Kia Cadenza. The new model improves on its predecessor with a nicer cabin, better connectivity and driver assistance tech, a stronger body structure, and powertrain enhancements for a “more premium experience” behind the wheel.

Ford is one of the few carmakers that generally treats us with a bit of respect. It’s something that’s hard to come by in this industry when you’re too honest for your own good. So when they asked us to run this 2016 Ford Figo Hatchback, we begrudgingly accepted. We can’t be fooling around in Mustangs every week. Our reluctance may have been so obvious that even the Ford spokesperson who delivered the car to us may have noticed. When we sat in the car, the first things that hit us were the hard plastics and the cheap headliner,
| The Good: – Speed and handling – Cabin space and features – Fairly comfortable ride |
The Bad: – Pricey for a hot hatch – Average boot space – Some hard cabin plastics |
How fast does a hot hatch need to be before it can be considered a real sports car? The Audi RS3 is now available in the UAE in limited numbers, and we got to answer that question ourselves.
Parking fees in Dubai have been increased, according to a new government resolution. In many cases, the charges have been doubled, and mostly affects the older areas of Dubai, from Deira to Satwa. Parking charges will also be applied to more hours per day.
| The Good: – Strong V6 engine – Cabin space and features – Ride and handling |
The Bad: – Average steering feedback – Unusual multimedia setup – Fuel-efficiency versus rivals |
