2009 Chevrolet Camaro in production trim

Bosses at General Motors figured that the camouflage on their upcoming Chevrolet Camaro was affecting their aerodynamics tests, so they decided to drive around their prototype without any black dressing any more. These photos, released by GM themselves, show the actual production-version exterior trim of the 2009 Camaro.

Engines should include the 240 hp 3.6-litre V6 and the 360 hp 6.0-litre V8 straight from the Lumina SS, whose modified platform the Camaro is based on already, but power figures might be a bit different depending on tune.

Apparently, the interior design is not finalised yet, so there is still some way to go in this car’s development.

What do you think?

  1. looks cool, but still hate it 😉

  2. ok nice car, but the engine choices? why don’t they take the engine from the CSV CR8? that would make it excellent 😉

  3. man wtf is wrong wit chevrolet 360hp only for a camero tht isnt enough at all it should be alteast 400 probs the 350z will be faster then

  4. man,this car is rocking.it is a beauty.going to overtake most sport cars including corvettes,fioranos,etc. 😯 😯

The engines will be the same, but not the horsepower figures, so no point worrying about that for now. An easy 400 hp is possible for the Z28 version, as the engines will likely be tuned differently than in the Lumina.

  6. they should dump in the corvette zr1 engine in that.

  7. ugly car look like Dodge Charger so bad shape all americans cars looks same no changes except Cadilic
