Renault Sport Clio 2010 launched in UAE

2010 Renault Sport Clio
The facelifted 2010 Renault Sport Clio was revealed at a VIP event in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Formula 1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Romain Grosjean, fresh off their crushing championship defeat this season.

The new French model, also referred to as the Clio Renault Sport, now comes with a 201 hp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine with 215 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual and front-wheel-drive platform.

The special 1279-kilo Clio can do the 0-100 kph sprint in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 223 kph. Its fuel economy is rated at 8.3 litres/100 km.

The Renault Sport creation will go on sale by the middle of December this year, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other UAE showrooms. It would seem that base non-Sport versions of the redesigned Clio will not be offered in the GCC. Keep track of further updates in the Renault Clio Sport buyer guide.
