Fiat Bravo 2010 launched in the UAE

Fiat launched the compact 2010 Bravo hatchback in the UAE, marking its return to the GCC with its second model, after a gap of nearly a decade. Joining the Fiat 500, the Bravo was locally revealed at a press event held in Abu Dhabi.

The Italian-built Fiat Bravo, around in its current form since 2008 in Europe and facelifted for 2010, will come with only one engine-gearbox combo and three trim levels. The standard motor is a “Turbojet” 1.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, good for 120 hp at 5000 rpm and 206 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. Interestingly, the only gearbox choice is a 6-speed “Dualogic” automanual, not unlike what a Ferrari has, shiftable via the gearstick, but no paddles are available. The car can theoretically do 0-100 kph in 9.6 seconds with a top speed of 197 kph and fuel burn of 6 litres/100 km.

The base model comes with 16-inch steel wheels and hubcaps, CD stereo, power windows, ABS and other basics. Moving up the trim levels add 16-inch alloys, fog lamps and other items. The top model gets cruise control, parking sensors, 18-inch alloys, leather, Bluetooth, sunroof and more.

The Fiat Bravo will be priced from Dhs 62,900 to Dhs 82,900 in the UAE, and will be available from Western Motors in Abu Dhabi, and Gargash Motors or National Auto in Dubai.

Keep track of further updates in the Fiat buyer guide.

  1. Car looks cool outside, just look at the dashboard, all the joints have a quite a spacing between them. If the pricing was around 42k to 50k this could be expected. But this cars wanders around 62,900 to 82,900. You get the best seller Tiida 1.8 hatch with six airbags (one of the highest safety rating-6*) for 59k.

The pricing even falls in the range of base Camry and Altima, making it more difficult to sell. To add up to problem well optioned Corolla & Civic also fall in the same price range.

    Best of luck Fiat.

  3. Am surprised they haven’t brought the Grande Punto over. I had one before I moved here (2 years ago) and it was great. Also bigger than you think

  4. WOW !

Interior is fine too but wht lets it down is the pricing .. should’ve been priced sumwhr between 40-55K.

    ^yes

  6. from back it looks more like alfa mito…

  7. Lets see if fiats reliability and reputation moves up in this reigon… Their sales could be like those of Citroen here.. I rarely find a new 500 on the roads yet their build quality jumped leaps from before…

  8. Reminds me of the VW Scirocco, only less cooler & cheaper as well. But, most of you are right about the pricing, this is just too expensive compared to the competition.

  9. but the Fiat comes with a lifetime warranty ! ..
that might be the reason of the expensive price ?
