Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG 2012 revealed

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG has been revealed. Along with the face-lift, fuel efficiency has been improved and if 457 hp is not enough for you, customers can also choose a performance package to get even more power.

The introduction of the AMG 7-speed sports transmission along with a new power steering pump helps to reduce the combined fuel consumption by about ten percent to 12 litres/100 km. The output of the AMG 6.2-litre V8 engine is unchanged at 457 hp and can be increased to a maximum of 487 hp with the optional AMG Performance package. New assistance systems have also been added.

The front gets a new radiator grille with a large Mercedes star, as well as a new AMG front apron with a lower cross member painted in black, daytime running lights and side air outlets, inspired from the SL 63 AMG model. The C 63 gets new clear-lens headlamps and new 5 twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels which are painted in titanium grey. The new AMG rear apron has a black diffuser insert with three pronounced diffuser fins.

The new model should reach showrooms in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the summer of 2011.

Keep track of prices and updates in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class buyer guide.

  1. well i am guessing after looking at the pics that there won’t be estate version of the C63!!?? or will there be one..!?

  2. This is really a nice car, it is not a car indeed, it is a bullet

  3. The rear end is very ugly. Still looks like the old SLK. Again I am asking this, why have not they included the rear in the facelift. Its actually the only side of th car that needs facelifting.

I think it is the issue withe current graduates from Automitive Design courses. They are blind, and barely qualified.

  4. dont bash me because i m german, but i would buy that thing over any lexus, infiniti, bmw, etc. any day!

distinct but impactful facelift i think

  5. This is one car from mercedez which has less presence than a toyota previa. You spend so much, but still you look like a sorry fellow trying to act rich !! Sorry to say but other than the audi A4, the C class and 3 series just dont look the part, especially this one from behind looks like its a corolla rival. This looks like it’ll step back and open the door for a Lexus IS. Dissapointing.

  6. I know today’s cars all look almost the same and new automobile designers lack creativity and originality but still it doesnt look that bad..

    • Im not sayin it looks bad, its a pretty good looking car, but it lacks presence. Certainly doesnt demand attention befitting its price and badge. Feels like it wont get the respect on the road that a proper mercedez should. Maybe its just me!! 😉

  7. I drive 2003 C32 AMG and I get a lot of respect on the road lol. but I agree the rear end should have been facelifted.

  8. guys look at the exhausts, they are great, i think that the amg is one of the best than a BMW M3 or an AUDI RS4, but still need to work on the ordianry c 200 etc..
