Dubai Police seize Nissan Patrol powered by jet fuel

After a late-night chase, Dubai Police claim to have recently seized a vehicle that was speeding close to “350 kph”, only to discover that the car, which looks to be a Nissan Patrol Safari, was installed with an “extra engine” modifications powered by jet fuel.

According to Al Bayan newspaper, the police responded to complaints of a “noisy” car “harassing” residents. During the pursuit, the driver managed to briefly escape the police by trespassing into a house to hide the vehicle. The Dubai Police finally got a hold of the car and its driver, who confessed to have having spent above Dhs 200,000 into modifications done by a local garage.

The unnamed driver will be referred to the public prosecutor, although it remains to be seen if he gets any jail-time.

What do you think?

  1. 350 Kph…. That too an SUV like Nissan Patrol… what r u Saying Man…

That’s what they claim. In reality, it can’t go more than 250 kph due to aerodynamics alone.

    • That makes more sense

    • I didn’t even believe Nissan Patrol going 300+

check this link on Youtube: Lols 🙂

I’m not saying this will full certainty, but that video appears to be fake, unless the gearbox has weird shift-points and there is no wind noise on the moon. It’s pretty easy to fake a speedo. The one on the Supra used to bounce around too. Just my opinion, and I could be wrong.

These guys will probably argue better, haha: http://tinyurl.com/btf4fyu

    • A turboconverted Nissan Patrol with the TB-series engine is good for 1000hp+, you guys know nothing.

Comparing it to a cayenne, hahahha. The cayenne is not built for tuning.

The reason to use this high octane gas is to avoid knocking at high turbo boost. The fact that he is using race gas gives clues that the engine is in 1000hp+ range.

    • Is that what some random guy told you? You have dyno sheets and V-Box times to prove it? hahahaha

    • Weird shifting speeds are caused by the rev limiter delete.
And not all Patrols have the Nissan Engine. Some have Chevys LS1 engine and transmission.

A turbocharged Nissan Patrol was able to reach over 160KM/Hr in 3rd gear and was still going.

  2. If the car was noisy, then the “extra engine” would probably be “knocking” due to the use of jet fuel. Even if they have used a modified engine, they should have used an AvGas (aviation gasoline) and not jet fuel. Just saying…

  3. Wow, interesting, but seriously if this a local involved, he will not get any jail time probably the vehicle will be impounded, the modifications removed, he will be fined a tad, and let off with with a slap on the back 🙂

  4. The mechanic should give some opportunity to do another things. His skilled should be explored in different way and Driver should given chance in Formula 1>He should trained for that

  5. the only thing this shows once more is how stupid some people here are..

  6. To start with any company does not give enuf room under the hood to install an additional engine block plus the first picture shows a power commander installed, its not much of a big deal, its give a good bump in power and mileage and the second picture has a k&n airfilter with a few minor tweaks & no way this car could have made 350… thats crazy! It would require more than an Xtra engine to reach that speed!

    • Syed It’s not only K&N Filter you check the Monster Turbo also ? If K&N Filter started doing all wonders.. A Yaris could’ve reached 500 KM’s lols !! hahahahah

  7. These specific( Nissan patrol )’s are powered by a straight six engine that alone produces 400-500 hp and can go up to 250km/h without tuning . When tuned they can reach a maximum velocity of 350 and more km/h ! U can check YouTube for prove

  8. he should’ve taken it to the drag strip -.-

  9. i knew a patrol in dubai with twin turbo which used to make 800+ hp on dyno…it used to race with most super cars and on straight line super cars used to find it difficult keep up with that patrol…but i really doubt 350kp/h…

  10. Meanwhile in Adnoc petrol station after evading police :

Driver (rolls down the black tinted window) : jetfuel habibi … full tank.
    Petrol filler : special ???
    Driver : Eplus …

  11. Guys, it wasnt a Patrol it was a Nissan Sunny with a Boeing 737 engine on top of it. It didn’t reach 350km/h, it went up to 500km/h. The engine was modified to run on apple juice though.

  12. “jet fuel” is kerosene and would destroy the engine pictured. Probably meant airplane fuel which is high octane gasoline. With enough HP you can get any vehicle to 200 MPH or 350 kph using the proper drive train.

  13. It Shouldn’t be called NISSAN, it should be NASA !!

  14. I HAVE RACED WITH THIS GUY AND I HAVE SEEN HIM BEING CHASED FROM TWAR THAT CAR IS A MONSTER , I GOT MY GTR 650 BHP AND COUDNT GET HIM TILL I GOT MY BROTHERS NISSAN TURBO PRODUCING 1000 HP , I THOUGHT I MIGHT GIVE HIM A HARD TIME BUT I STILL COUDNT GET CLOSE TO HIM

  15. putting those desert tyres cause speedo error.
but damn speedo error of 150kmph?

  16. A Nissan Patrol that to 350kph sounds crazy!!!!!

  17. I have a NP people who dont believe should gv a search at Google wikipedia & u can find that the this 5th generation engine can b modified upto 2000hp. Go Ahead & read that ur self. still if u dont understand 350km then jus search for NP videos @ youtube. its nt F**kd up german or American shit ….Its a Japanese Monster…

  18. Going speed has reasons: No: 1 is to see if he could travel faster than light No: 2 is maybe he thought with that speed, the Nissan could be transformed into a plane like ‘Transformers” in movies No:3 maybe he was rushing to the washroom (Natures Call)

  19. The wind noise ahhhh :p
