2018 Honda City facelift on sale in UAE and GCC

Honda released the 2018 City facelift for the Middle East and Africa region recently. The City is available in three grades – the DX, LX and EX.

The 2018 City gets a restyled front fascia with the new honeycomb grille. The new LED daytime running lamps is standard across all the models. Front fog lamps are only on the EX grade.

In addition to the front exterior changes, the rear bumper has also been updated with new taller tail lights. Another exterior feature change is the new diamond-cut alloy wheel option.

Other exterior features include chrome front grille, halogen headlights, power door mirrors and a ‘shark fin’ antenna (only in LX and EX) and rear parking sensors on the EX grade.

The interior gets a new black colour option for the EX grade. Other new features inside are, the rear wide view camera, vanity mirror with light and map lights.

Some of the features on the LX and EX grade include, touch screen display Audio, which adopts a smart phone style interface and also mirrors your smart phone when you connect it with a HDMI cable, cruise control and Bluetooth HFT phone controls on the steering wheel. Features on the EX grade are engine start stop button, smart entry, paddle shifters, 60/40 rear seat split and automatic air conditioning.

All the three grades are powered with a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine which produces 118 hp and 145 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to the new generation CVT transmission with a fuel consumption of 5 litre/100 km (20 km/litre).

Standard safety features of the City include ABS, stability control, brake assist, electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and front drive and passenger airbags.
