iCaur V27 and 03T makes global debut in the UAE
Chery’s iCAUR sub-brand has made its global debut in Dubai, unveiling two of its newest electric offerings: the iCAUR V27 and the iCAUR 03T, alongside a third model, the compact iCAUR V23, as part of the brand’s expansion into international markets. This showcase highlights Chery’s growing EV ambitions, with a strong focus on range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) technology.
iCAUR V27: The Flagship SUV
Leading the new lineup is the iCAUR V27, a large SUV positioned as iCAUR’s most advanced and premium model to date. With a commanding presence and a length of nearly five meters, the V27 stands out as a bold statement in Chery’s electrification strategy.

The V27 is powered by a range-extended electric powertrain, pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with an electric drive system. The engine does not drive the wheels directly, but instead acts as a generator to charge the vehicle’s battery pack, effectively eliminating range anxiety.

Two drivetrain options will be offered: a rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The AWD variant is expected to deliver 335 kW of peak output (approximately 449 hp), although official horsepower and torque figures have yet to be fully disclosed. What is confirmed, however, is its CLTC-rated all-electric range of 200 km, and a total range of over 1,000 km when including the petrol generator.
Performance is another strong suit, with both the V27 and the iCAUR 03T claimed to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, putting them on par with some performance SUVs in the market.
iCAUR 03T: Stylish and Efficient
The iCAUR 03T builds on the success of the iCAUR 03, bringing extended-range capabilities to the compact crossover segment. Like the V27, it also uses a 1.5T REEV system to power its battery, delivering the same 1,000+ km total driving range and 5.9-second acceleration.

While iCAUR hasn’t revealed the exact performance figures for the 03T, the model is expected to offer a similarly tech-forward package with urban practicality and adventurous capability.
Dubai Showcase: A Strategic Global Debut
The Dubai launch event marked iCAUR’s formal entrance into the global automotive scene. All three models, the iCAUR V27, iCAUR 03T, and iCAUR V23, were on display, underscoring Chery’s ambition to compete internationally in both the mainstream and premium EV segments.
The iCAUR V23, a compact urban EV, caters to city commuters with a smaller footprint and likely a more affordable price point. Though details remain limited, it completes a trio that covers multiple market segments, from compact EVs to premium electric SUVs.
A Growing Presence in the Middle East
Chery has already gained traction in the UAE and broader Middle East through its Tiggo lineup, as well as its other brands such as Jetour, EXEED, OMODA and JAECOO. The introduction of the iCAUR brand is expected to build further momentum. The region’s increasing interest in electric vehicles, paired with infrastructure growth, positions the UAE as a logical springboard for Chery’s international REEV push.
More details on availability, pricing, and regional specifications for the iCAUR V27 and iCAUR 03T are expected to be announced in the coming months.
