iCAUR officially launches in the UAE with global debut of V27 hybrid SUV

iCAUR, the hybrid and electric vehicle brand under Chery International, has officially entered the UAE market with a gala launch event held at Park Hyatt Dubai. The evening was attended by senior global executives from iCAUR, VIP guests and members of the regional media, marking the brand’s Middle East debut.

Headlining the launch was the global unveiling of the iCAUR V27, a mid-size hybrid SUV that represents the brand’s flagship release for the year. Although the model has appeared at several major international automotive events over the past year, Dubai marked its official global market introduction.

Tim Zhang, General Manager of Chery International Middle East, said at the launch: “iCAUR’s global debut in the UAE reflects our commitment to consumers across the Middle East. We are dedicated to delivering leading products and premium experiences to young and young-at-heart customers in the region.”

Developed and tested for regional conditions

The V27 has undergone extensive validation before its launch, including rigorous testing in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Development included extreme summer heat trials and high-speed intercity driving to ensure suitability for Gulf conditions.

Globally, more than 1,000 test vehicles were deployed across multiple regions, completing over 50 comprehensive test programmes. Durability testing exceeded 1 million kilometres, covering extreme heat, severe cold and complex road surfaces.

UAE drivers rightly expect a genuine off-roader that can be enjoyed all year round, even in the height of summer.”

Classic design meets new-energy technology

True to iCAUR’s “new-energy classic” philosophy, the V27 combines a traditional boxy SUV silhouette with modern electrified powertrain technology. Measuring over five metres in length, it features a squared-off profile, round headlights and clean surfacing intended to balance rugged character with contemporary aesthetics.

Inside, the V27 introduces what the company calls the “Stellar Cockpit” concept. Highlights include a dual panoramic sun screen with 99.9% UV blockage and a floating ceiling design. With a 2,900 mm wheelbase, the five-seat cabin is designed to maximise interior space and comfort.

Power comes from iCAUR’s Golden REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) system. The setup delivers more than 150 km of pure electric driving range and a claimed combined range exceeding 995 km. Unlike conventional plug-in hybrids, the REEV system is driven entirely by electric motors, with the petrol engine acting solely as a generator to recharge the battery when needed.

Ecosystem and retail expansion

The V27 also integrates iCAUR’s customisation ecosystem, featuring 39 pre-installed ecosystem ports and a range of upgrade accessories aimed at lifestyle-oriented buyers.

In the UAE, iCAUR has already established a retail presence with a flagship showroom at Oasis Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, along with additional facilities in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The company plans to expand its dealership and distribution network across all seven emirates.

AiMOGA Robots, described as part of the iCAUR ecosystem, will also be showcased in showrooms to highlight the brand’s technology-focused direction.

Mr Zhang commented: “We have a clear vision for the UAE market – we are not content to simply open showrooms – these locations will be part of a bigger eco-system that includes world class after-sales service and establishing dedicated owner communities, so our valued customers can share experiences, enjoy interesting drives, interact with our highly trained teams and make new friends.”

Following its global launch in Dubai, the V27 will be introduced in additional international markets throughout the year.

The iCAUR V27 is now available in the UAE with prices starting from AED 134,999.
