Dubai Police adds VOYAH FREE to patrol fleet

Dubai Police has introduced the VOYAH FREE extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) into its patrol fleet, in collaboration with Performance Plus Motors. The move reflects the force’s ongoing push towards smart and sustainable mobility solutions across its operations.

The two vehicles were officially unveiled at the General Department of Transport and Rescue headquarters by Major General Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, alongside senior officials from Dubai Police and representatives from Performance Plus Motors.

VOYAH EREV technology supports long-range patrol duties

The VOYAH FREE operates primarily as an electric vehicle, powered by dual electric motors, while a high-efficiency petrol generator acts as a range extender. This EREV system allows the battery to recharge on the move, reducing reliance on charging infrastructure while maintaining extended driving capability — a key requirement for police patrol duties in the UAE.

Dubai Police highlighted that the dual-power system helps reduce emissions without compromising on performance or operational readiness, aligning with the UAE’s broader sustainability and smart mobility goals.

VOYAH Performance and capability

The VOYAH FREE features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing a combined 360 kW (483 hp) and 720 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, offering strong performance for rapid response scenarios.

With EREV technology, the SUV delivers a claimed total driving range of up to 1,357 km (CLTC), making it suitable for extended patrol use without frequent stops.

The vehicle is also equipped with adaptive air suspension, offering up to 100 mm of adjustable ride height to suit different road conditions.

Tech-focused interior and practicality

Inside, the VOYAH FREE features a triple-screen digital cockpit designed to enhance driver interaction and situational awareness. The cabin is positioned as both high-tech and premium, while practicality is addressed with a luggage capacity ranging from 560 to 1,320 litres.

Partnership and sustainability focus

Major General Al Falasi emphasised that the addition of electric vehicles to the fleet is part of Dubai Police’s strategy to adopt environmentally friendly transport solutions while maintaining a strong operational presence across the emirate.

Mohamed Elzawawy, General Manager of Performance Plus Motors, noted that the partnership reflects a broader commitment to smart mobility, highlighting the suitability of EREV technology for fleet applications where range and efficiency are equally important.

The introduction of the VOYAH FREE marks another step in Dubai Police’s gradual transition towards electrified mobility, as the organisation continues to integrate advanced vehicle technologies into its fleet.
