The new Navigator is big news for Lincoln, the luxury brand best known for warmed-over Fords until just a couple of years ago. Today’s models are still based on Fords, but are so extensively differentiated that they can be passed off as a completely separate brand. And one of those new models is the all-new Navigator, which is making waves in the segment right now. We drove one in the summer.
When the Ferrari FF first came out, it was a massive eyesore to many, while others embraced the “shooting brake” bodystyle concept with blind love. The car was a bit of a success for Ferrari though, so a second generation was introduced a couple of years ago, with a completely new name. The GTC4 Lusso improved on the FF’s looks, although it probably won’t convince detractors. We finally got to drive one a couple of months ago.
If you’re a connoisseur of crossovers, you may already know that the Cadillac XT5 debuted two years ago as a replacement for the SRX. What you didn’t know is that the XT5 is a bit smaller than the last-gen SRX in terms of length. And what may surprise you even more is that the XT5 is not really a compact SUV, despite what it may appear to be. It’s built on the GMC Acadia platform and shares an identical wheelbase. Overall, the XT5 is only a thumb shorter than the Jeep Grand Cherokee, a thumb longer than the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class,
Chinese cars have still not hit their stride in the UAE, even as they are gaining acceptance in a few other GCC countries such as Saudi Arabia. Truth be told, they’re starting to become world-class now, and among the best Chinese brands right now is MG. As much as Chinese onwers SAIC are trying to push it as a British brand, MG has truly moved on from their heyday as a performance carmaker draped in the Union Jack. The latest MG line-up consists of economy cars and crossovers. This MG ZS here is their smallest crossover offering.
The Genesis G70 has been a long time coming, as no premium line-up is complete without a compact sports sedan. While the G90 hasn’t caused any waves, and the G80 is a remnant of the Hyundai-badged days, the G70 is the first proper product from the upstart brand that brings something interesting to the table. The updated 2018 Ford Mustang is almost upon us, with a droopier front-end and a radical list of mechanical updates. That’s not to say the existing Mustang is to be scoffed at.
