The all-new generation of the Mini Countryman has made its first web appearance before its world premiere at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, this November. The new 2017 Countryman is a bigger, more versatile and even has a plug-in hybrid model in the range – the first for the brand.
Volvo has unveiled a top-of-the-line luxury model dubbed the S90 Excellence in Shanghai, in advance of its first public appearance at the Guangzhou Motor Show 2016 in China. The S90 Excellence will be built in Volvo Cars’ facility in Daqing, China and exported globally.
It’s amazing that the previous-generation Renault Koleos ran for almost a decade with only minor changes. In the fast-paced crossover segment, that’s an eternity. However, it looks like the new model was worth the wait, as the Koleos seems to be reaching for the stars in the entry-level luxury segment now.

The American-made large SUV comes with seven seats and two punchy engines. The Atlas will also be the second VW product to be produced at the company’s Chattanooga, Tennessee plant, after the Passat.

We attended this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas, Nevada last week, courtesy of Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. Better known as SEMA, it is arguably the largest tuner show in the world, although it is strictly a trade show, although it’s pretty crowded even without the general public being allowed in. The American brands were the most strongly represented on the show floor, followed by the Japanese, with a few dabbling in European and Korean makes. The stands generally consisted of aftermarket suppliers, tuning and restoration garages, wheel manufacturers and accessories outfits, among others. But a new subsidiary of China’s Geely Motors, called Lynk & Co has decided to step in with one of the most technologically advanced cars ever. As of now, software is only used as a basic component in a car. But Lynk & Co is looking to change that with their first car, the 01 electric compact SUV, which uses software as the backbone of the design to create supposedly the most connected car ever built.
